In this article I aim to review what I believe will be the top three podium finishes at Insomnia42, down at Newbury Racecourse, as well as recap on what the I-Series is truely about.
Here we are again, at the infamous Insomnia (or as previously known I-Series) event, hosted down in Newbury, UK. The I-series as a whole has had it's up's and downs, once competing with the top events in Europe drawing in teams from across the globe. Those day's however have gone, leaving it as a beacon for UK eSports.
The past few events have been as a whole, a disappointment, only drawing in a meagre handful of teams due to a poor and ever diminishing prize pot, leading to a predictable, dry and stale event. However, thanks to recent community efforts to try and bring the event back to its previous glory, we are now faced with an event that is sat to break 2010 attendance records kick starting the British eSports calendar. With a few household names at the event such as Infused.Tt and team YoYoTech the event is sure to be a huge success and it's results are inevitably going to echo across the ocean and influence the summer events.
Alongside the competitive aspects of this event the social benefits are never ending. For those of you that have never attended the I-Series, it is, in my opinion one of the most fun events to attend, even if you arn't due to compete. You're there in a series of halls with approximately 1,700 other gamers from all walks of life. The I-series isn't a LAN, it's a community gathering that spurs a whole variety of emotions from sadness to joy, and as Paul Wells's demonstrates time after time, it's the perfect place to express your true gaming nature to the world.
Alongside all the competitive teams, a whole host of community organizations and clans have come out in force this Easter, from house hold names such as Deadly Forces who are sporting an impressive two teams, too BIGCLAN who have managed to field a draw dropping four line-ups. The people that make up these collective units are what makes our scene into what it is today and what forms the I-series into the fun, frivolous event that we all know and love.
gl to all teams being that stupid and attending a lan like this
20k from entry fees, 2k prizepot, i see absolutely nothing wrong or hilarious about that.
The individual components that make up the collective unit are all made from proverbial 24 carat gold, all expertly crafted by the finest swiss watch makers
:D Just using your name as a representation of your mix :D

How can you even dare complicate comparing vazquez (God rest his soul) with bAc. I mean I love bAc, great player, but he can't touch Carl.
You also need to get your head out of germaines arse.
Infused to bottle and get top 5 (sorry Lauren :D), YYT to win, marks team to get top 5, georges team to surprise.
