The core players of the current VYE COD4 line-up have been together now for over two years. The team originally started playing enemy territory quake wars, then moved over to Wolfenstien where they found their talent, representing The Imperial for several months. Unfortunately their success, like their game, was short-lived. From then onwards, they found a new home within COD4 where you can find them today. The team suffered a crisis just as they were picking up momentum, right before I39 was due to commence, Freddie "plixs" Alert and Chris "snap" Harvey decided to up sticks and leave their former team mates, resulting in the addition of dylan "DyLAN" hemsley, who can still be seen in the team to this day, alongside John "Smallzz" Small, who left soon after the event was over.In the recent online qualifers they defeated the current favourites for the event, Team YoYoTech, in a close 13-11 victory. From here however things quickly degraded with them being knocked out in the third round, at the hands of Defused. With two LAN attendances under their belt, and a third on the way they have a wealth of experience to draw from which should grant them an advantage against the rest of the rising talent. |

Since Insomnia40 team defused has undertaken some internal changes with Josh "Jay" Jones dropping the scope in favour for the AK47. Joe "Tweaks" Williams had taken up the roll of the sniper and Gareth "n1nJAzz" Whyley taking the AK74u. These changes could have a detrimental effect on the team, but at the same time it could also increase the team's effectiveness as a whole, after all there is usually some logic behind actions like these. The team managed to gain entry to academy just over a month ago, and from this time they have gone from stride to stride. In the recent online qualifiers they placed 4th, obliterating VYE 13-3 in the third round, but them proceeded to get knocked out by eventual winners YoYoTech. The team are also currently placed 4th in the UK EAS which shows thier promise as a team within UK eSports. Despite the quantity of the teams accomplishments the team have stuck together for a moderate length of the team. They are a new, fresh, up and coming team that is looking to improve as a whole, both on- and offline, and for that reason I'm going to stick my neck out and peg them as a team to watch at this event. |

Fat People are Fat was orginally created by Perry "Frantx" Smith, Enrico "ReZu" Toivinen and Roy "Cyaz" van Ingen with the aim of having a Dutch-based line-up for the up coming EPS season. However, during the recruitment stage, the team welcomed Alex "xyZZZ" Pisani, who, after a few weeks of game time within the team, left for what he felt were greener pastures within the arms of UV-Gaming. During this transitional period the team also picked up Ivo "IVO" van Esl, to only say farewell to him after the magic spark failed to ignite. This opened up an oppertunity for Bas "Dutchy" van der Mijl and Lars "cliOx" Schutte, and also gave the team the chance to fulfill their founding goals.Later on in the teams life fpAf were welcomed through MouseTek's doors with open arms, where they have been finding their feet in preperation for any up-coming lans that may be coming their way. The team started out with the wish to focus on Gamersject in January, 2011, but after several discussions the team felt that it would do them some good to attend a smaller, less competitive lan, instead of jumping into the larger European events. During the online qualifiers for I41, mousetek breezed through the opening two rounds with a default against UltraViolet and a strong 13-7 victory against VYE. The team then went to face team Phantasmagoria, and after what seems to be a close game, they were lowered into the consolation final where YoYoTech delivered the fatal blow. All in all this team has showed a great deal of commitment to attend such a localised event from all over europe, and with a growing positive online performance this team stands to do well at this event. |
