The view from our room was stunning in the morning
After a good night sleep woke up to the most amazing view ever and headed down for some breakfast and found that it was actually not that bad and had me some eggs and potatoes. We had a busy day today with first a small press conference, of which I missed half because they failed to mention where exactly it was, and afterwards a VIP reception where sponsors, national partners and high up government officials witnessed some people saying great things about the IeSF, the IeSF challenge, Korea and the future of gaming. The food we got was absolutely amazing!
We were then rushed the main ballroom again where the official grand opening was about to take place. All quite official and impressive and again with plenty of speeches on how great things were, trust me – you’ll get used to that in Korea quite easily. Seems like they invite everyone to come and say something great and fantastic on the stage. After several speeches it was time for the crazy Koreans to display their best boys band and also their best all-female band. Needless to say all the gamers present were only interested in one of them.
Official opening behind us the games could finally start with all group stages matches being played that evening. Luckily for Belgium, three out of four players managed to progress from the group stages which was a success I hadn’t hoped for honestly. Coming back to our room poker seemed like the perfect thing to conclude our evening with as we sat down and played for thousands and thousands of… Korean Won. It goes without saying that I dominated the other Belgian players and took home the money after a convincing win!

Gd blog Steven, now all they need to do is get more games involved and we can finally have an immense event such as this in (hopefully) alot more country's
Thankful some one did a cover, I was wondering how many people knew about it. I got aware of it via twitter just few days before its beginning. Nice read.
"top Warcraft III players XXXX from Korea and China" Some big names there!
I hope the games for next years event are more worldwide instead of featuring a version of Fifa only available in Asia, an only FPS which very few people in the western world play, and WC3 which is slowly dieing. That said, I hope IeSF does what it is setting out to do, but it would be nice to know what exactly are their plans, how it affects us, the gamers, and who is representing us. For example I've no idea who was part of the UK delegation.
nice read ;]

And yes, I agree :)
And the UK part is basically the people trying to undo where the previous management of UKeSA went horribly wrong...
