i36 Seeds Preview - Seeds 1-4

1. Team-Dignitas

So, we begin our rundown of the seedings with the mighty Team Dignitas. Having crushed any and all opposition they have faced in recent times, they have dominated the European Scene. As favourites for the tournament, they have become pretty confident. I got hold of d.intel blackmane for a chat.

The TEK-9 community vote placed you as seed 1 for the tournament. Do you think this is fair? If not, what seed would you place yourself at, and why?

Well I don’t see us being seeded anywhere else to be honest; I can’t even remember the last time we lost an official. So yes this is an expected seed for us.
 
What is your main goal for i36?

To win, anything else will be seen as a failure for us.

Any other comments / thoughts you wish to add?

Just cant wait for oz to bait or if he does turn up he best be in a wheelchair even if it is just for a laugh. ;) I'd also like to thank our sponsors Intel, LG, Scan, Razer, EA, Dell and Soundblaster X-Fi for making it possible for us to attend this event.


2. SPEED-LINK

There is a bit of a shroud around whether SPEED-LINK will actually be attending. There have been a variety of rumours bandied about, such as Duffer bailing, or the management not booking their seats. However, contrary to what a certain Reason player might be saying, these appear to not be case. After much endeavour we finally got hold of a team member: SPEED-LINK|solz. He told us that there were ‘payment issues’. These revolve around bank transfer, the notoriously slow method of payment. The trouble is that not all of the tickets etc have been confirmed due to the slow method of payment.

3. Reason-Gaming

At spot number 3 is Reason Gaming. Having had some good results in UkeSa and other competitions recently with their new lineup, they are definitely a team to be reckoned with. [R] Lighters was the man in the chair for my interview.

The TEK-9 community vote placed you as seed 3 for the tournament. Do you think this is fair? If not, what seed would you place yourself at, and why?

I think being seeded 3 is definitely fair. We have a new lineup and have been doing well so I think we deserve it. If I was to argue I would say seed 2 because SL are bringing in rze for LAN who hasn’t played for months whereas we have been practising since the LU was announced.

What is your main goal for i36?

Our main goal is to win but I think to be realistic I have to say finish in the top 3 like we are seeded. I36 has some very strong teams attending and there will definitely be a lot of competition but we have prepared well and everyone is motivated and wants to win. Besides doing well I’m really looking forward to this iSeries because it’s going to be great fun.

4. fnatic.MSI

fnatic.MSI had real trouble early on in the UkeSa season, with poor results left right and centre. However, with the addition of fnatic\rivve to take up the scope, they could alter their tactics and became an extremely formidable side. This was most noticeable against ButtonBashers, which resulted in a 13-11 win for fnatic. I sat down with the man himself for our interview.

The TEK-9 community vote placed you as seed 4for the tournament. Do you think this is fair? If not, what seed would you place yourself at, and why?

I think it’s kind of fair. Although I know we can beat dignitas, speed-link and reason but cod4 is so random so anything can happen. But I would put us in a top4 seed as well, with me as new sniper and tidde back to SMG we need to change some tactics. So we are basically back from square one so we'll see if the tactics work.
 
What is your main goal for i36?

To win it of course, that’s always the main goal. But I would be satisfied with a top 3 since we are a new team with lots of changes. After all, we haven’t played together for that long since I joined up again
