After struggling to find a suitable home in the past years, spending time in diamondZ, Team Celsus, Infernal Gamers and more recently k1ck, the Finnish mLPF team has found a supportive new home the end of September in North America's Blight Gaming. With a slightly different roster compared to The Experience 2009, but with longtime members Kusti "k1mi" Sammakko and Juho "juho_O" Sihvo still in their middle, the only Finnish team to attend the DSRack LAN will be looking to leave a good impression at their first major event under the Blight Gaming tag. Blight has kept a relatively stable roster over the past months, but will be attending the Danish event with a slightly modified roster. Longtime member Simo "Leaf" Mykkänen, who had joined the team shortly before The Experience 2009, will not be present at the DSRack LAN and is replaced by Ville "rEplan" Ijäs, previously of Epsilon and xtothed. Having won the Finnish Esport Challenge, ESPC 2010, in September, defeating Finnish rivals Insidaz and xtothed, coupled with the fact that the team's original roster were able to impress at the Experience 2009 and end up 7-8th place, makes Blight a good pick for a 4-6th place finish. |

Formerly known as wegame, Denmark's number one team joined the ranks of Dynamic Gaming the beginning of September and has since then transformed into an almost exact replica of the former top 10 European team Hostile Faction (Team Infused). After bringing in ex-Roskilde Ravens player Emil "hiffer" Ervolder and Patrick "PATR" André Gjøl when joining Dynamic, replacing Rune "Warning" Salomonsen and Brian "AK-Freak" Espersen, the Danish team made even more drastic changes just two weeks later. Problems within the Dynamic Gaming had led to the removal of Mathias "AdagiO" Braun, Thomas "Jacks0n" Vestergaard and recent recruit Emil "hiffer" Ervolder, who were subsequently replaced by three members of Team DSRack, two of which had been a part of Hostile Faction's successful performance at the Crossfire Intel Challenge in Enschede, the Netherlands earlier this year. With this move, PATR and AagaarD were reunited with Allan "Profft" Profft and Mikkel "K1LM0" Juul Petersen, with whom they finished 5-8th at both the Crossfire Intel Challenge and the SteelSeries Esport Challenge. Although the roster certainly looks promising, time will tell if the Danes are able to leave the same impression as the Hostile Faction team, who were regarded as one of the up and coming teams in Europe. They look to be a main candidate for the fourth place. |

Having recently joined the ranks of auRic, this mixed European roster will get their first chance to shine at a major European LAN event. The new auRic roster is composed of three former dfiance and Team Pentia players, Anton "ANTZ" Standert, Jacob "zabo" Zabo and Felix "fel1x", joined by Danish CoD4 veteran Stefan "Guana" Geisler and Markus "SuKraMzE" Gustavson, previously for his time in Northwave and Playtech, with whom he attended the SteelSeries Esport Challenge in Copenhagen, Denmark earlier this year. Although Stefan "Guana" Geisler certainly knows what it takes to perform at LAN from his time in Roskilde Ravens, auRic eSports go into the tournament as a questionmark. Defeating the three favorites seems unlikely, but a serious contender for a place amongst the top six. |

Formed in March 2010, the former Delirious and PENTIA team has recently found a new home in XAYA. Regarded as one of Sweden's up and coming teams, the former home of current xtothed player Roni "yatzzY" Rokka has been built around the Swedish trio Andreas "azeo" Vesterlund, Erik "blazeh" Öijvall and Peter "inzool" Jarlvik, who have played together for the past two years or so. The Swedish squad recently took part in the Kingston HyperX Battle, in which they were able to take three consecutive wins over ESL Major Series participant REAL Gaming, de_nied, PLAYON, before losing out to the eventual champions, deaglebro, in a close 10 to 13 game. Although the Swedes lack the LAN experience to make it far, a 4-6th place is certainly possible and they could be an interesting team to watch at future events. |
See you there, guys.
