page 2: Personal

Before we get to your team and eSports in general let us not pass my legendary first section which is sometimes the most interesting one being the person’s personal life. You are married... for how long with a good wife and how many children ?
Well yes I am and thinking desperately without my wife noticing what I am doing right now I think/am sure it is almost 9 years. We have two daughters (7) and (3) and a new baby due on 14th February :).
Wauw, a wife and two great kids and a third coming up in February! Your future looks bad then! Getting up in the middle of the night to stop the baby from crying, giving her food and “sush” him/her back to sleep :D ?!
I maybe old but I am a gamer once asleep I do not wake up easily :)
The question everyone wants to know: “Is it going to be a new topmanager like you (a boy) or are you expecting the third Dignitas boothbabe (a girl) ?
We have absolutely no idea we wanted a surprise!
Any preferences ?
None :).
With all those people at home counting on you to take care of them you still manage to find the time to work for you organisation and what do they think about you working in the eSports business ?
Well I do not just work on Team Dignitas, I pretty much have two full time jobs :). I work as Sales & Marketing Manager at a company and I have worked there for 18 years. I guess my wife is comfortable with what I do now for Team Dignitas as it has turned from a hobby into something very special. My typical day is absolutely non stop that’s all I can say :).
So you actually have done nothing else then managing and selling “your product” since you were young? Does this experience mean a great factor to you when managing Dignitas ?
For sure, my experience is invaluable when it comes to marketing our brand, our teams and players. I am an experienced customer manager also, so I know how to look after our assets and our sponsors. Having real world experience is a massive advantage for us as we can approach everything we do with our feet on the ground. This means we can actually offer reality to the people, companies and players we meet.
Having to work a full time job, managing Dignitas and taking care of wife and kids means you have, like you already mentioned, a totally filled up schedule day after day. I guess you wish that a day would consist of 48 hours so you can go hunt some bandits together with Eddy Murphy and Nick Nolte in your spare time. Do you never get tired of all the pressure and don't you want to relax for a few days ?
I just need a virtual headset thing so I can walk around doing real world stuff and use mind bullets to sort out my internet related stuff if that make sense :). Plus I have young children so I can never relax; they poured milk in a light socket last week, bang!
And then there is daddy cleaning up the mess and slamming little daughter’s ass :). Does vacation appear in your dictionary together with relaxation sometimes or are you a true workaholic ?
Well holidays are nice but children are expensive so we do not get to have holidays much but we are due one soon. I wouldn’t say I am a workaholic but I am obsessed with Team Dignitas, it is hard to express the satisfaction of what we do in words.
