After all these years in the business this might be one of the most difficult questions to answer but could you tell us about some moments who will stay with you forever?

My first CPL (2004) where we got 5th. Our ESWC title in 2005. Our ISC championship in 2006.  Also, the first time I stepped onto a huge TV stage for CGS. It’s an amazing feeling.


What achievement means the most to you?

IC 2006 because it was the first major championship where I was in attendance.  Most of the other ones I was at home working.  However, CGS is a close second because standing on that stage makes you see the future, and the future looks damn good!


What is your ultimate goal in eSports after which you could, if this will ever happen, say goodbye to the sport?

I hope to help take eSports to such a high level where our stars are like sports stars and our brands are recognized around the world.  The day we break 10 million viewers on a live gaming broadcast will be the day I sit back with a big cigar and a smile on my face.


Jason, it was a pleasure talking to you and doing this monster interview. It was very interesting to hear your vision on things and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Really not that interested on the CGS as a whole though. Computer games will always be more interesting for the user. The idea of watching a console/pc game being played by some other people will always be boring in my eyes.
I find it interesting that Lake mentions that a "45" minute game is not acceptable on live television, yet people who watch SPORTS can watch 90 minutes of a game of football, 80 minutes of Rugby, 4 quarters of American Football and Basketball, including all the in-between match analysis.

He seems like a true fan of esports and the fact he carried his team on his shoulders without the big sponsors and still managed to get them to the top is amazing, great manager.
