Now your new team being =GUNK=. You guys are mostly Belgians and one Dutchman. A new team but as far as I am well informed you guys aren't new to each other ? Can you tell us a little something about your history together ?
SICK, KingpiN and VeRTeX played for PZZ in the past, so did I for one tournament. I also know KingpiN and VeRTeX from the Belgian Q3 team and all the wars against them. We are no strangers to each other. Even SICK coached some important matches for the Belgian Q3 team :)

Just to have a quick look at your fellow team mates! How do they play their role in the current team (GUNK), and how do they behave when you are not playing?
We don't really have fixed positions... everyone just knows where the others are and what they should do (or they are working on it :p). I wouldn't know how they are behaving when I'm not playing, I mostly play :)

Staying with GUNK: the name is related to your main sponsor being GUNK. Could you give a little information about GUNK for the readers who don't know it.
GUNK is the name of a company hosting a website/magazine/TV-show for gamers, by gamers. They are sponsoring our team with GUNKpc's, GUNKwear, others costs (transport, entry fees, hotel when we are going to events), etc. In other words: they try to make it as easy as possible for us to compete at the highest level. In return we promote GUNK by placing well at these events and showing off with our hardware/gear/... + coverage on websites/magazines/TV.

Has the team or yourself at least been in talks with GUNK about support for international events ?
Yes, sending the whole team international would be very costly, at the moment we are looking at sending our 1-2 best 1on1 players to those events.

For once you may call names and even include yourself to answer this question. Who are the best 2 players of GUNK ?
Next question please. :D

Do you personally dream or at least want to go on an international trip and attend big Q4 1v1 events like the CPL WT Series ?
I would very much want and like to go yes.

Back to the hardware support. I heard every player on the team got equipped with a high-end PC and for as far as we can tell by looking at your PC stats it is quite a nice piece of equipment. Can you tell us something about "the machine" ?
At the moment our GUNKpc consists of an Intel Pentium D 840 (dual core), 1x XFX 7800GT and a Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty soundcard supported by an Epox 5NVA+SLI motherboard and 1 GB of RAM (2x512MB). All this is getting upgraded in the very near future, to the Intel Pentium Extreme Edition, another XFX 7800GT so we can run SLI, higher quality RAM and PSU. Obviously we also have a hard disk/dvd-rom etc... :D

Well as for the hardware support you guys are very well equipped. How much value do you subscribe to the importance of good hardware? Because a lot of people think of practice, teamspirit, ... and also hardware is an option for success.
We all know Quake4 is a pretty hefty game in terms of FPS-drainage. Being equipped with the best gear that money can buy sure gives us an advantage. Lots of quality teams are still struggling to get their whole team a solid 60 FPS. Of course, a good PC isn't enough to become a good player. But we don't lack experience nor skill so we benefit in all these ways. Practice and teamspirit/communication sure are as important as having good hardware.

So people struggle to get a solid 60 FPS ... how much FPS do you guys get (easily) with such a system ?
Of course, solid 60! If the GUNKpcs can't achieve that, no other system will... :)

Now, you and your team GUNK recently won the Jolt League beating opponents like Four Kings. How did it feel to win your first title as a team.
Of course we are all happy with our first "official" win. However, that Cup was just a warm-up for things to come. The EuroCup is much more important to us and we'll do everything to reach the finals.

In the Clanbase Eurocup where GUNK also got a direct invite, you are currently ranked first in your group without losing a match. How far do you think that GUNK will get in this Eurocup?
I believe we can and should reach the quarter finals and maybe even the semi’s. When we reach that stage, we'll go berserk to reach the final.

You just won your Clanbase 1v1 match versus another quake legend, the Swede Magnus "fox" Olssen. How did it feel to beat him, even on his home map?
It felt good of course, didn't know Galang was his homemap. This win shouldn't be taken too seriously though, fox is a LAN player, he's not used to having higher than 5 ping in duels. Internet and LAN are a whole different story.
