As always I like to start off with some questions regarding a person’s personal life so here we go. Do you have a job or do you still study ?
I have a job. I am currently working for WalMart. I just finished my degree from the University of Arkansas with a degree in International Business.

Can you tell us a bit more about WalMart and what exactly is your function in this company ?
Well, Walmart is a huge chain of stores here in the US, and I'm sure there are several in Europe as well. Walmart is a retail company that sells electronics, has a grocery store, clothes, hardware, lawn stuff, pretty much you name it they have it. My job right now is pretty boring as I am just doing paperwork for the Outdoor Sales for my region.

It seems that your job isn't attracting enough for you at the moment. Do you think this will get better soon or are you planning to look for another job if this situation doesn't change soon ?
Well, it keeps me busy. But as anyone right out of school will have a boring job or one that he doesn't like right away. The pay is fine for what I do, and I’m sure with time my job will change as it does for anyone who is working their way up the ladder.
Of course, if another job came to my attention that was better or that I thought I might enjoy more, I would definitely look into that :)

So, with the fact that you are the founder and director of Check Six in mind, how does a normal day look like for Mr. Howard ?
Well, I get up around 6:45 Monday through Friday, get ready for work and try to get to work about 8 AM. While at work, I am able to get on mIRC, MSN and everything so I am able to still keep in touch with players and do anything else that is needed during the spare time that I have at work. I get off work anywhere from 5-8 PM depending what is going on at work that day. Once I get home, I like to sit back and watch tv, hang out with friends, head to a bar for a bit just whatever is going on. Then the rest of the evening till about anytime in the morning, I don’t sleep much, I catch up and check on team stuff.

Your friends, family, colleagues maybe, are they aware of the fact that you are the director of a famous clan called Check Six and if so how do they react on this and what was their impression when you first told them ?
I don’t have many friends who are into gaming, in fact most of them don’t really know what any of it is. They know I get to travel and that’s about it, they think it’s cool that I’m able to go to all kinds of places and stuff like that. My family thinks it’s a waste of time, I guess you could say famous when we are all able to make big salaries off of this. I guess they would find it more interesting when I could say that I am making a career off of this.

We see it more often: parents who tell their son or daughter not to get involved to much with computers and gaming. People like you, who have been able to built up and maintain a clan such as Check Six on such a high level... shouldn't they get more support ? Because it's because of people like you (and offcourse the players) that eSports is able to grow and may have a future after all.
Well, I don’t have kids. But I can see why parents don’t want their kids to sit in front of a computer for hours upon end and play a game that they know nothing about. But as this grows and has a lot of chances for people, I think it’s something parents should let them try and give them support in. As gaming is being more accepted you see more parents start to join their kids at lan events and even play the same game with their son/daughter. So yes, I think more support should be given by parents to help their kid in something they enjoy and are good at.
