page 2: Catching up / Call of Duty 4

Hey Stuart, first of all can you introduce yourself to the readers?
TosspoT: Hey there, I'm Stuart "TosspoT" Saw and I'm a director and commentator for QuadV as well as owning gaming site Crossfire.nu. When I'm not geeking out I’m in my final year of university in York, I like long walks by the sea.

Let's start off with a question about you first off. What games have grabbed your attention lately?
TosspoT: Lately, well Call of Duty 4 has certainly grabbed my attention and all of my spare time! Quake Wars is also a good new game that I’m getting into, along with Unreal Tournament 3 and the new Pro Evolution Soccer. Generally I spent quite a lot of money on new games this winter!

Stuart after a few drinks
Which game is your favourite from your new winter selection and why?
TosspoT: Call of Duty 4 for me has to be the favourite. It’s got to be the first game in maybe three years that’s got me back playing several hours a day. I play with both my housemates as a team (they coach, I shoot), I've been playing some scrims and in between my damned dissertation I hop on pubs, really Call of Duty 4 has got me.

So compared to Call of Duty 2, why does Call of Duty 4 stand out more to you as an individual?
TosspoT: That’s a really good question because in earnest they are the same game, they're on the same engine and they've the same objectives and for me at least it feels as good as Call of Duty 2. I honestly cannot put my finger on what’s better about Call of Duty 4 but something is, maybe I'm just wowed by the graphics as I do enjoy playing the pubs in default config. :P

Anything in particular that you enjoy a lot in Call of Duty 4? How about the perks? What is your view on them?

TosspoT: Erm I think there’s a lot to be said, you'll never get rid of them on publics they offer a lot, but in my opinion competitive play should be as close to Call of Duty 2 as possible. There are some camps that will say that’s good, some camps will say its stifling gameplay and that’s a debate that comes in EVERY game. Quake Wars has just the same, even more so. However, I think the beauty of Call of Duty is that it’s a somewhat simpler version of Counter Strike because it doesn’t have the money system. Why is that important, well look at CGS, they went quite a way modify the money system in Counter Strike because it’s bad for TV, so on that logic Call of Duty 4 could be great for TV if you keep it simple.

Its a nice article and of course, Stu is a great guy, however I would like some alterations made to this introduction.

You may think this is being picky, however it is important to ensure people are not in anyway misled.

Stuart does NOT work for Xleague and neither do I, in fact none of the people who work for QuadV work for Xleague. Xleague hire our commentators on a show by show basis, much like a talent agency and the people they hire do NOT work for them, they work for QuadV and are loaned out. The two companies, whilst having a great relationship, are NOT in any way joined together, either financially or otherwise.

Furthermore, it is innacurate to describe QuadV as "online". We are an Internet broadcaster and have several other functions such as full production services, talent loaning, presentations, documentaries and event coverage. Further, QuadV is a Limited company registered in England and Wales and Stuart is a Company Director along with myself, Joe and Oliver.
