page 1: Vanilla & The WHOCrew This Article will get you into our world, through a secret list hidden by the government, on my desktop. I've kept this list of the most legendary fragmovies through out the whole series (ye i'm ol'skool homies), so I thought, hell, why not share this list with all you newcomers, oldskoolers and the random Joe's reading this. So here's a couple of reviews about the movies that made Call of Duty scene what it is now.
Part 1 - Vanilla & The WHOcrew
CoD1 and its sequels would not have been the same without one man and one team creating a whole new level of Vanilla movies, Oh yes, you know who I'm talking about The infamous WHOcrew and their very own moviemaking genious slize. The first part of the article will focus on him - The Godfather of CoD-movies - and team WHOcrew, the oldschool fanboys dreamteam.
Everyone who was in CoD1 or is interested about the scene knows this movie.. well, atleast should know, it's the movie that made you go WOW - it was released 17th of October 2004 (according to google) and created a base for CoD moviemaking.
For 2005 standards the editing was SUPERB, and without a doubt featured the most entertaining Vanilla COD team EVER - The one and only, e-star - WHOcrew.
Entertaining frags, one of the most likeable teams, good music and the superb editing by slize made this one the first EPIC movie and created a huge fanboy-base for WHO which, in my opinion, still reflects into the modern Call of Duty.
The whole scene was thrilled to see what could slize possibly come up with next, could he in any way top his last performance - Yes, The Italian Job tops "hardrockers" in almost every aspect.
The Italian Job is a documentary-like movie focusing on e-star's trip to Italy to win 10,000€ from SmauILP 2004, one of the only bigger Vanilla LAN's.
Slize's work is once again full of his own ideas, the content is even better than before - a LAN-movie, on a game with no tournaments what-so-ever. Frags are again very good eyecandy for the fanboys, considering it's from a single LAN-tournament only.
Slize's editing, SHARP soundtrack and a great atmosphere through out the whole movie, gets this one on The Legends list.
Check it out again for old times sake, and if you haven't even seen it yet, dont be an a-hole, DL IT. There's also a documentation "The Italian Job - Behind the scenes", made by slize, focussing on their trip outside the game.
This movie is simply MINDBLOWING. Released 2nd of May 2005, and it still tops most of the movies there is.
OUTSTANDINGLY smooth editing once again by slize, entertaining frags and an atmosphere of a football match.
The tricks slize found out for this movie are Jedi-like - oh yes you know what I'm talkin about, the 360' matrix effect you nowerdays see in every movie.
The soundtrack is epic and does something I've never seen any movie do, The e-WHOlution brought a whole Genre of music in the CoD Fragmovie-scene, a movie with a Psy-trance soundtrack pops up every now and then trying to accomplish what slize did, but cant top this one.
This movie was the best of Vanilla CoD, and still is one of the best ones. Ext's riflereflexes, kickR's unscopes make the WHOle WHOcrew legends of our game. Like slize - and Good Ol' Che said: Let the e-WHOlution begin! ...And it did.
I still have over 60gb fragmovies on my hdd, and most of them are cod1 movies :) nice article, waiting for the second part although I hate cod2 movies...
wait what. /r/ hahaskillz! :D
gj kez tbh
also missing staRS* -movie (rly rly old) and the emm 1 match based some one of the first cod1 movies :/ can't remember any names from there
the point is i cant see why those movies should be so good as there were way better ones in other games during that time.
this article is only about COD movies so, do not see the point in adding other movies. Plenty of other movies in other games that were better during that time, but that is not the point about the article.
