JANSSEN, Tim (mutzke) - team manager |
Known as the former herotiC-team, this bunch of friends is surely the greatest threat for the two favourites. The never-ending persistence of their leader, Senne van Craen is crucial for their development. He invests hours into watching demos and analyzing his opponents. The bloke from Schriek watches everything, down to the minutest detail …… and demands a very concentrated input when they practice their set-ups. Assisted by two loyal players, Jef Vandermaesen (Sentinel) en Wouter Vos (vozke) this team has a real strong core; bounded by a unique friendship. Unluckily, the last two spots of the line-up underwent some changes in the last months; showing that’s hard for them to fill up the void and make their roster perfect for a little while.
Have they reached their impasse?
The last roster change dates not so long ago, when Gerold van Tieghem (wakka) chose to change from team – went to TEK9 Networks – and as consequence, Bjorn Verburgh (gotek) decided to lay his gaming life to rest. Before, both players came from Rodcad Gaming and were seen as a real progression for the unchanging three; as both have a lot of potential. Unfortunate, that story found its end again before it could start.
You could probably ask yourself after the roster change, if van Craen does not bite more off then he could chew by beginning a new quest to fulfill his line-up again. On the other hand, one thing is comprehensible; he doesn’t want to end his career so deplorable. His answer on the hitches came sooner than expected as he signed Manuel Colomo (krs) – known from AYN-TUFAAN - and Felix van den Put (nunji) – known from Team Sypher.
The hero(s) found dfiance
To clarify their goals to the crowd, the Belgian formation was in search for decent support, as herotiC wasn’t more than a name, to fully focus themselves on the most important thing for a team: practice, practice and practice. Dfiance came with a solution and took care of reuniting them with an acquaintance that supported them through thick and thin. The only question that still remains is: has dfiance enough time to attend the ESWC Belgium at its full capacity?
What we do know is that if they keep on practicing, they are going to belong in the favorites-section on the WCG Belgium 2008 event. Their time to shine is coming, sooner or later.
