IEM Dubai QuakeLive Preview - Intro

This weekend the world's best players converge on Dubai for the Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge. In the sweltering heat of the Persian Gulf, sixteen players will battle it to be the first Global Challenge QuakeLive champion of 2009. The winner will book his place at the Global Finals at Cebit and pocket $3,000 in cash to boot.

TEK9 will be your home for IEM Dubai coverage throughout the weekend, kicking off here with an in-depth look at each player all the way from hot favourite Shane "rapha" Hendrixson to local underdog Anas "spammah" Ilyas.

First let's run down the details of what lies in store for us.
