Early Morning Interview - Morg

After an all-night gaming and frag movie fest, I decided to catch up with i33 assistant admin and 4Kings Call of Duty 4 team admin Robert "Morg" Black, to get an insight on his jobs and it involves at both the i33 event, and the Crossfire Devotii Challenge 4 LAN event, in which Morg took on the role of game admin for the game a couple of weeks ago.

It's been a hectic few months for Robert, as he has worked his ass off getting things running at both the CDC4 event and i33, where he is still in action as the playoffs head around today at 13:00CET.

I also spoke to Robert about his team 4Kings, which consists of various well-known Call of Duty 4 talent from the UK including corp and vasquez, being at the brunt of the critisism for their line-up. 4Kings are present at i33 and they are here to prove to the community that they can achieve good results from Call of Duty 4 at LAN, but will they be able to stick to what they say? After winning all of their games so far, 4Kings definitely seem like a team to watch out for at the finals, as Robert will be taking their corner in the battle for victory.


Hey Rob, thanks for joining me, first of all could you introduce yourself to our readers?

Hey there, my names Robert Black and my online alias is Morg. I’m 19 years-old and I live in Shoreham on the South Coast of England.


What started you off in doing Call of Duty tournament adminning?

I was asked by Adz from infusedGaming to help out with adminning the Call of Duty 2 tournament at i31, and was accepted to do the job. So i31 was my first tournament and I’ve done a few more iSeries events since then as well as some online cups.


What does your job involve here at Multiplay i33?

Well at i33 I am an assistant admin for the Call Of Duty 4 tournament. I basically try and run all the games from groups to the final in a way that keeps everyone happy (hopefully). As an admin at iSeries we try and run the tournament to the standards the competitive community desire, however we are on a bit of a leash with regards to that. This is mainly due to us as admins not having ultimate control over the schedule at the event, meaning we have had some problems when it came to running the Turn Up and Play feature at i33.
