page 2: The CGS and Team-Dignitas

Hey Chris, thanks for joining me, could you please introduce yourself to the readers?
Hi, I'm Chris Bullard aka ChrisyB and I play for the London Mint team of the Champsionship Gaming Series.
How have things been in the FIFA scene for you lately, after the Champsionship Gaming Series world finals?
I haven't started my training yet on the PC, I will begin in the new year as I prepare for a UK tournament in January. I have been playing a little bit of the next generation version on the PlayStation 3, and hopefully I can play in the FIFA Interactive World Cup.
You played in both the individual and franchise tournaments in the CGS world finals this year. Which tournament meant more to you as a person and why?
The franchise game meant a lot more, before the game I was living with the London Mint guys and girls to a certain extent and we all wanted the same thing, when their are ten other people in your corner, you stop doing things for yourself and try hard to represent your team and city. The individual tournament was looked upon as simply a nice warm-up for me to get used to the stage. I also didn't expect to be in a position where I should and could have won it.
I've been watching the CGS UK finals on television lately and I must say, its very different to what we usually get broadcasted in eSports. What is your opinion on the series overall?
I've been amazed by how it's been broadcasted and I'm proud to actually be taking part in it. I'm enjoying the series so far, it's nice to look back on something that seems so long ago. It's been cool to go around saying Chris Kamara commentated on me playing FIFA ... not many people can say that.
You were with Team-Dignitas for a long while, how does it feel being in London Mint as their only FIFA player, compared to Dignitas, who had several FIFA players?
I think the two teams are too different in a way to compare. Dignitas will always be my home however I won't train with them as intensively as I did for obvious reasons. I made valuable friends at Dignitas though and I will still play with many of them, it's a community for me that I hope I am always welcome in. I enjoy being in a multi-gaming clan though, as it opens up a whole different community which is the thing I enjoy most about gaming.

#11 Yes hes a fantastic player but he crumbled in L.A. Losing to arguably the weakest player on the Carolina team in 'peekay' was awful. Nice Interview on the whole. |

#12 I would not call Peekay a weak player. Skills-wise he is not as good as the other players, however his mentality is excellent; the only person in theCGS that actually managed to gain an advantage through baiting.
Great read, gl Chris. |

#16, I think Mutske means he performed well in the CGS overall, which he did.
He also came second in the individual FIFA07 tournamanet at the CGS world finals, which is a great result imo. |

Nice read.
I think FIFA07 was not the best FIFA for Chrissy, but we should also be aware of the fact that FIFA07 was a very lucky game.
By this i mean, you can play so much better, buts still lose by a AI fault ( random generated by the game).
I'm wondering how good he will do on FIWC UK, this year there will be only 1 spot so he needs to win from Bazza and his brother to get this title.
So keep on the good work Chrissy. |
