page 1: Introduction
Although London Mint didn't come out victorious at the Championship Gaming Series world finals this year, one player stood out from the rest of the team when it came to competitive play. In total, every franchise in the series holds one general manager, a five man Counter Strike: Source team, a Project Gotham Racing 3 duo, a male player and a female player Dead or Alive 4, and one FIFA07 player. This year, it was the FIFA barracks that stood out a lot for the London Mint team.
There were quite a few choices when it came to Sujoy Roy's FIFA choice when it came to the UK finals, but one man had the edge on everybody else, that man was non-other than Chris "ChrisyB" Bullard. It has been a great year for Chris, the professional FIFA player has gone from strength to strength and is now earning a well paid salary for his efforts in the game.
Spawning unknowingly from the UK based eSports organisation Team-Dignitas, Chris was drafted for the CGS UK this year a long with other members of the Team-Dignitas organisation, including their Counter Strike: Source team, and manager Michael "ODEE" O'Dell. Today, Chris isn't just a regular player in the game, but his strengthly efforts have earned him the status of one of the UK's best FIFA players, with a good potential of being one of the worlds best also.
London Mint were knocked out of the CGS world finals earlier this month, in the quater-finals stage against Carolina Core, who would progress to the finals, losing out to Chicago Chimera. London Mint showed great skill and good player choice in both the UK and world finals, with Chris losing out to American FIFA player, peekay, three goals to one. In the individual playoffs however, Chris managed to grab a second place standing in FIFA07, when he lost out, two goals to one, in the finals against WizakoR.
I caught up with Chris for an exclusive interview, backtracking his CGS history with other talks also on his career in FIFA, the game in general, and what makes a good player in the EA Sports FIFA series.

#11 Yes hes a fantastic player but he crumbled in L.A. Losing to arguably the weakest player on the Carolina team in 'peekay' was awful. Nice Interview on the whole. |

#12 I would not call Peekay a weak player. Skills-wise he is not as good as the other players, however his mentality is excellent; the only person in theCGS that actually managed to gain an advantage through baiting.
Great read, gl Chris. |

#16, I think Mutske means he performed well in the CGS overall, which he did.
He also came second in the individual FIFA07 tournamanet at the CGS world finals, which is a great result imo. |

Nice read.
I think FIFA07 was not the best FIFA for Chrissy, but we should also be aware of the fact that FIFA07 was a very lucky game.
By this i mean, you can play so much better, buts still lose by a AI fault ( random generated by the game).
I'm wondering how good he will do on FIWC UK, this year there will be only 1 spot so he needs to win from Bazza and his brother to get this title.
So keep on the good work Chrissy. |
