page 5: FIFA and highlights

I'm not a big player of FIFA myself, but for a player like yourself, is it simple or difficult to swap FIFA titles each year? For example, the FIFA07 upgrade to FIFA08.
It's not easy but everyone is in the same boat as one another. It's not like moving to Counter Strike: Source when players have played the game for two years already. I'm sure most of the players appreciate the change each year where new improvements are generally made on the old version of FIFA and as always new bugs are found.
Whats been your personal favourite FIFA title in the series?
FIFA World Cup 2006 on the XBOX 360. I really enjoyed this game and I think it has safely been the best next generarion version of FIFA we have seen to date. FIFA07 last year on PC has to be one of my favourite also, despite a lot of moaning, the game had alot going for it.
Have the outside FIFA titles interested you at all, such as the FIFA Street series?
I think FIFA Street is the only other series and I can't say I'm a big fan of the game. It looks nice with all the tricks and stuff though, so I guess it has an appeal to the younger audience.
Narrowing down a little now, you are looking to compete in the FIWC 2008, how well do you personally think you will do in this?
I'm looking to at least reach the grand final of 32 players. I think from then on anything can happen and if I was to qualify for it and have a good day, I have no doubt its a tournament I can win. However, this is number three in the priority list. The CGS being the number one priority and the European Cyber Games in Hannover being second on the list, if FIFA is chosen.
You have been a professional gamer for some time now, what has been the highlight of your FIFA career?
Winning the FIWC will still remain my greatest highlight of achievement until I win another world championship for myself or with London Mint. Winning the UK's Championship Gaming Series MVP award was also a very proud moment of my gaming career.

#11 Yes hes a fantastic player but he crumbled in L.A. Losing to arguably the weakest player on the Carolina team in 'peekay' was awful. Nice Interview on the whole. |

#12 I would not call Peekay a weak player. Skills-wise he is not as good as the other players, however his mentality is excellent; the only person in theCGS that actually managed to gain an advantage through baiting.
Great read, gl Chris. |

#16, I think Mutske means he performed well in the CGS overall, which he did.
He also came second in the individual FIFA07 tournamanet at the CGS world finals, which is a great result imo. |

Nice read.
I think FIFA07 was not the best FIFA for Chrissy, but we should also be aware of the fact that FIFA07 was a very lucky game.
By this i mean, you can play so much better, buts still lose by a AI fault ( random generated by the game).
I'm wondering how good he will do on FIWC UK, this year there will be only 1 spot so he needs to win from Bazza and his brother to get this title.
So keep on the good work Chrissy. |
