page 3: The Interview Continued

For me it was a great event, who did ytou enjoy meeting and what were the best moments for you at i33?
Seeing as it was my first LAN, meeting any player was good fun, but the best moment goes to when DUFFER taught Big Fluffy Pigeons member twrs how to catch a beer with his lips. It was just insane and ended up with one huge fat lip and some rather nasty piss beer. :D
What did you think of the finals?
Finals were great, some rather nice clutches from SoCLoN which set the crowd on fire and not to mention blackmane's hysterical celebrations and wonderul sniper shots. Match could of gone both ways, and was a very tight match. Both teams put their all into it, but Dignitas edged their way to victory with that 1% more then TheLastResort. Good Luck to both teams, and a lot more exciting games to come, that's for sure.
It was a shame Crossfire couldn't be used during this event, do you think exabyte could have done better if it was alright to use, or do you guys prefer the other maps?
It certainly was a shame Crossfire wasn't in the map list. 80% of the time we were at LAN we played District, and hardly focused any attention on the other maps which was a shame. Crossfire is a strong map of ours, and if it was in the fold, perhaps things might have been different.
Would you have done anything different to change the rules used at i33?
Rules seemed fine, but perhaps three SMG's wouldnt of been such a bad idea. Although the two SMG limit slowed the game down, it also presented a far more tactical sense for the game. Apart from that, it was spot on, even the North American scene seems to agree on a partial level.
So overall the weekend was good for exabyte?
The weekend was exceptional for exabyte, meeting the guys was hilarious as we spent it in central London clubbing it up like it should be done, then coming to LAN and going from onliners to a solid team. Have to give it to the lads, well played.
Wrapping up now, quite a selection of upcoming teams fold after LAN events because they didn't do as well as they thought they could, will exabyte be definitely staying around in the future?
You'll be seeing alot of us in the fourthcoming months, at the LAN events and online. We're here to stay, thats how we roll!
Thanks again for your time Jasdev, any last shoutouts?
Want to give a shoutout to my boys here at exabyte, heroik for supporting us all the way through and jakmo for being a superior friend of ours, peace.
L-R: Lighters, JUSZN, rzE during the i33 weekend.

do find it quite amusing that someone who was repeatedly accused of hacking and has attended a single LAN (to my knowledge) would have the cheek to call people onliners.
this particular insult is pretty hilarious anyway but let's at the very least not be hypocritical fucktards when using it. |
