page 2: The Interview

Hey Jasdev, thanks for joining me, could you please introduce yourself to the readers?
Hello TEK9 cakes, Jasdev "JUSZN" Virdee speaking here, nice to meet you.
Your part of the upcoming team exabyte, could you please give a brief description of each of your team-mates?
Lighters - The best part of laughing comes from this guy, such a charachter and have far too many laughs with him, not only is he funny, but he's incredibly smart when playing, which compliments his aim.
rzE - The king of rage, and also sniper, dominating pretty much everyone in his path making him a force to be reckoned with. Also a very decent lad who likes to buy alot of beer for me. ;) <3
LuNi - Lad of lads here, loyal and to the point. Going from strength to strength each time he plays, proving everyone just why he is here in exabyte. M4 Carbine certainly his weapon of choice, and shows when he pops shots off it like a derranged cake stealer.
phantasy - Our little gem of the team, starting at only the age of 16 shows nothing but promise, clutching regularly and killing everything that walks. Keep an eye out, he will go big.
You guys recently placed 5-6th at Multiplay i33 in Newbury, England. That is a pretty good result considering it was your first LAN event as a team, were you happy with where you placed?
Certainly was pleased to get so far in the competition considering we've had no support, only ourselfs. Pitting against the best organisations in the entire European Call of Duty 4 scene at the same level really shows great accomplishment for our team and definitly strikes a good chord for the future.
The team had a nice string of wins before being knocked out of the upperbracket by Team Dignitas, who was the toughest team you guys came against and why?
I'd have to say fnatic was the best game of the LAN for us, really tight game both sides, and the pushing was immense, some rounds would be one way, some another, some fast, some slow, they just nudged past and was a really good game, so good mint and tidde came upstairs from their wonder booth to say good game. ;)
A surprising victory was achieved by exabyte against Roskilde Ravens, what did you think about beating Denmark's best team?
Defeating Roskilde Ravens was a nice defeat, considering just how well they've been performing as of late. But we went into that game with Crash locked down, and results proved that.
Personally, you went into i33 labelled as a "cheater", do you think you have silenced your critics with the performance yourself and exabyte gave?
The second I laid into my seat for my first match, about 15 people came behind us to watch exabyte defeat Team CoolerMaster UK on Vacant, first part of proving myself was complete. The rest of the tournament just came into play and although I didnt 30 bomb every match, I sure showed people that I aint a hacker. Silenced you say, I think your right there Scar. ;)
Nice to hear, so exabyte will be returning to i34 for their next LAN event, or are you planning on any other offline competitions beforehand?
i34 is in the midst indeed, but before that we'll be participating in the EuroCup, codQcup, i3D.NL and FGL European Championship online to spread the name a little and win some mula along the way. ;)
So I won't see the sexy exabyte beforehand at the Antwerp eSports Festival? =[
Ah, speaking of Antwerp, we will definitely be attending that, so get those sexy cakes ready, and I owe you a beer. ;)
Great stuff, so back to i33, were you surprised to see the under-rated Dignitas take the top prize in Call of Duty 4?
Weren't really surprised to see them win, kind of expected them to win seeing as they have a solid leader and organiser in Sko, setting the pave for the team. Was a thriller of a match, could have gone both ways.
The biggest surprise at the event for me was Evil Geniuses taking down TEK9 after they were down by 8 rounds, what was the biggest shock for you?
I'd have to agree with you there, rob-wiz turned into a beast and just raged TEK9 into the floor. Rather like a court room drama. :O

do find it quite amusing that someone who was repeatedly accused of hacking and has attended a single LAN (to my knowledge) would have the cheek to call people onliners.
this particular insult is pretty hilarious anyway but let's at the very least not be hypocritical fucktards when using it. |
