Being part of a broadcasting company, you must have undoubtedly have a love for watching others play as well. Which match do you feel was the most interesting you have ever seen (can be different games) and which one was the most intense you ever played yourself (once more, can be different games)?

Well considering my love for Quake Live is primarily team based gametypes, my favourite game to cover was undoubtedly toxjq's return in the ESL ENC Semi Final of Sweden versus France. So unexpected and yet so great, it also included perhaps one of the slowest and potentially most tactical of all GrimDungeon matches ever played too, with some hilarious fails by some of Quake Live's best players too, if I remember correctly.

As for Duel it has to be watching 2GD commentate our livestream at DreamHack Summer 2010 with Stermy vs Fazz on map2, Furious Heights. If you ever want to see one of the most epic comebacks in Quake Live history to take it to a 3rd map (in the final minute) then, that's the match you need to see! As for the most intense game I’ve ever played, then it either has to be any game with Team YoYoTech in Team Fortress 2 as that always was a strange and rage filled experience or our game against the Netherlands in the QL TDM ENC. We won their map DM6 and whilst we were too busy being over excited at the fact we would destroy them on our map DM20, they beat us there. Then came the 3rd map, DM7, where we'd go on to lose by 2 frags 215-217, in what can only be described as the battle of the aimwhores. One of those frags was, because I tried to pummel Quad with my Gauntlet, damn my stupidity! :)

You seemed to have tied yourself to TheLastResort for quite a number of games, were they the perfect organisation for you?

Well my first live event experience was Multiplay's i34 with TLR, there Mike would provide us, the TF2 team,  with AMD PC's and more - a great start to what would effectively turn into a love for events. I later parted ways with the team and organisation. Mike then contacted me again regarding Quake Live. I was honest in the fact that I wasn't the number 1 Dueler in Europe, but he was willing to support my improvement and that coupled with what he provided me as a TF2 player had gained a lot of respect in my books, so I was thankful to be a part of TLR. However to be quite honest I haven't practiced near enough the amount that I should have in return for the support that Mike continually provided, which was why I chose to leave the organisation and play for myself. I guess I'll continue to go at it solo, away from the pressure of results, and wait for the announcement of the next ESWC event to see if I can go one better next time round.

That seems to be it, for now. Do you have anything to add?

Firstly huge thanks for the interview and the scheduling around my messy match schedule, it's great to see the coverage of Quake Live on TEK9 increase and on that note - I’m especially thankful that you and everybody else involved have allowed me to post our livestreams under the Quake Live forum to this day. Obviously a shoutout to everyone at Level Up TV and especially to everybody who's donated toward our DreamHack fund so far!! Make sure that you all tune in to DreamHack next month and if you have any ideas or requests on what you want to see us cover at the event itself, please leave them in the comments below!
