Semi final: 2:1 1:1* 2:1 versus Cruzader
National Final: 2:1** 1:0 versus IstvaN
Final Standing: 1st
* Cruzader wins after Penalty kicks
** After extra time
Statement JonasL: "Today I'm going to play, probably my biggest event attended, WCG.dk. If I go home from that event with a 1st place in my hand, I am off to my first international offline event.
My expectations about tonight are pretty simple. I have to go through from the semifinals against Cruzader, even though Cruzader is a very skilled and routined player, so that won't be easy at all. But still, if I'm not going through against him I will be very dissapointed.
The other semifinal is Ravens`Anqes vs. IstvaN which is a bit easy to predict. Ravens`Anqes don't have a lot of routine, cause he's only 15 years old, and IstvaN is the opposit, for sure the most routined player in the danish scene, maybe in overall.
But I think my chances tonight is quite good, and me and Istvan will probably end up in the final as in the danish EPS final, let's just hope this time will be my victory ;)" |

The Counter-Strike division of TEK9 Networks is attending the second WCG Belgium 2008 Qualifier.
After their last performance, The Counter-Strike division of TEK9 Networks is once again on the lookout for victory after their close loss against the LowLandLions in the finals of ESWC Belgium. Their expedition starts already tomorrow morning in OutPost Antwerp, where the second qualifier for the WCG Belgium event will go live. OutPost is known as one of the best LAN-centers of Belgium and sits in the main organization of this spectacular event. The center where all the action is, can be found near the famous shopping street ‘de Meir’ and the main square, in the heart of Antwerp.
The World Cyber Games (WCG) is next to the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC), one of the most recognized and prestigious tournaments throughout the history of e-sports; making it an honor for every cyber athlete to attend its annual events. The edition of 2008 is being held at Cologne, Germany but before Belgium knows its representative, the Counter-Strike teams have to go down the wire to obtain a ticket for the main event at the ninth of October, held in the luxury Zuiderkroon.
TEK9 Networks will attend this event with a stand-in, namely Ruben van Luchene (xavi) as Thomas Sterk (hybrid) wasn’t able to come due to his work schedule. Without or with this small change, this promises to become a fun and exciting tournament with teams such as dfiance, ethereaL, myLegend and Oneway competing to grab the spot

This weekend, TEK9 is attending the Dutch tournament The Party 6 (TP6) in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. They'll face teams as CNO, Logic and EDiT in search of a medal.
Three weeks after victory at the OCC24-event, the TEK9 Counter-Strike division is again packing their bags. The Party 6, a Dutch high-class tournament with teams such as CNO - recently known as tempclan and playing as DCC on TP6 - Logic and EDiT is yet again a level up tournament. After numerous Belgian events and the recently MIAGE 2008, the team is travelling to Eindhoven, The Netherlands in order to add another shiny medal to their list.
The competition will be a lot harder than Belgian events and therefore they will have to perform at their very best. "We feel that this is a crucial part in our development phase", explain team captain Dries van Houdt (ciseta, red.) "A good placing on this event could boost our motivation to a higher level. I really appreciate the support the Dutch community has giving us. We will do everything in our needs to fullfil the expectations, placing Belgium on the map again and showing that we have earned their trust in us." concludes the 21 years old Dries.

After the OutPost Tryouts 2, our Counter-Strike team is again exploring the road of esports. Tomorrow, around noon, our team will be on the road heading to Orléans, France; to participate in the prestigious MIAGE 2008 tournament making this their second event under the TEK9-flag.
This tournament is held in Campus d'Orléans - 130 km southwest of Paris and nearby the beautiful Loire river - and gathers 700 players, including French top teams like emuLate, dimension4 and against All authority. "I'm really looking forward to play against these teams", explains Dries "ciseta" Van Houdt (21). "It's a great opportunity to develop our gameplay; adding an experience-bar when we return home again by the end of the weekend." Previous weekend, the dark horse dimension4 succeeded to defeat the French champion and winner of WCG 2007, emuLate at Atomic 2008 - quite a shock. "emuLate is a great team and I'm sure that this event will become an epic clash between the French top teams. I can't wait anymore to face these teams; I truly hope we are able to make a fist and fix a guest role in their show."
Sixty-four teams, 8 000 euros cash and a lot of hungry teams aiming for a place in the spotlight. Who will rise up and who will lick their wounds after this weekend? "Que les meilleurs peuvent gagner. On y va!", concludes Van Houdt.

With 23 players taking part in the Dutch qualifier, all three TEK9 Players were able to make it out of the groupstages and quality for the playoff stages without any serious problems.
Finishing first in Group 2, TeK-9 FIFA team captain Ludwin de Bruijn played a strong tournament only to get knocked out by eventual finalist Nick Laurora, one of the big surprises at the event.
Brand new TeK-9 addition Vijay Mitrasing followed a similar path, topping his group with Nick Laurora taking second place, but getting knocked out in the quarter finals after a close (01:02) game against Bryan Hamden. With this performance both Ludwin and Vijay took a respectable 5-8th place in the final standings.
After winning the 2006 edition of the FIWC, taking home a 20,000$ in cash and a trip to the FIFA World Player Gala in Zurich, Andries was able to reach the grand finals of the competition after a second place in Group C and a extremely close quarter final game against the Dutch 2006 WCG representative Robert van Kleeff (RvK).

We will concentrate on winning again in 2008 when we had the chance to play the game enough as a team. I'm looking forward to going to Paris though and have a lot of fun as usual."

TeK-9 races onto the tracks from the pit stop this weekend as the newest addition to the organisation, 15 year old Yannick "YannicK" Gobert enters the World Cyber Games Grand Finals in Seattle, Washington. YannicK will participate in the Project Gotham Racing 3 tournament for the Xbox 360 representing TeK-9 for the first official racing competition TeK-9 have been placed in. The young star has been pitted in Group C along with six other individuals and 20 other individuals in total to battle it out for the first place gold that awaits the top competitor.
This is the first eSports sports game TeK-9 have participated in competitively since the release of the FIFA team a few weeks back. YannicK is a strong individual and I'm sure he will do well in his journey to America. The Group C melee starts on Friday 5 October as YannicK takes on Greek competitor stelios to begin with. The top two from each group will enter the single elimination playoffs with a $20,000 prizepot waiting for first to thirds place standings.

Next to the ESL IPS finals against SPEEDLINK, tonight the TeK-9 Call of Duty 2 team will be taking on the top German team Komacrew in the Grand Final of the $2,500 Total Gaming League tournament, after recently being able to defeat svea Royale in the Single Elimination Semi-Finals.
Although Komacrew lost their Semi-Final game against Serious Gaming (01:02), the Dutch team were unaware of the anti-cheat rules and couldn't provide the anti-cheat files, resulting in a default loss. Tonight at 21:45 CET, TeK-9 and the promising German side Komacrew will be going head to head in a best-of-three game for $1,500 for first place in the TGL European Open Grand Final.

TeK-9 are back in competitive play tomorrow night in the ESL IPS finals versus German rivals Team SPEED-LINK. Our TeK-9 Call of Duty 2 team emerge from the lower bracket after losing out to SPEED-LINK before in the upper bracket showing a poor result of (03:13). However TeK-9 continued to progress and climb up the ladder once again where they beat Alien-Gaming (13:06) to reach the finals of the IPS competition.
With a 1,000 euro prize pot for the top three standee's, it isn't a lot considering the prize pot in the past three LAN events TeK-9 have won. I'm sure this victory is going to be for honour but can our guys do it? They failed to make it to the finals in the upper bracket but I'm sure they'll be back for revenge. The match will be played tomorrow night at 21:00CET on Burgundy. Good luck to TeK-9 going into this, it will be a challenge but I'm sure they can do it.

As the week has drawn to a close, the weekend we've all been waiting for has finally arrived. Starting as a tournament of 24 teams excluding the qualifier teams it has now been drawn down to the final four teams of the cup as they enter the LAN finals of this seasons ClanBase EuroCup. The Call of Duty 2 EuroCup XV has been an interesting one with various high performance teams not making it to the finals this season such as Serious-Gaming, Team-Dignitas and more recently in the news Logitech.fi who withdrew from the finals after the team decided to split.
TeK-9 have performed reasonably well through out the cup topping their group during the group stages with a five win streak. With only one loss in the playoffs to H2k.Qpad dropping them to the lower bracket, the TeK-9 side meet LowLandLions (former Tempkids/defusekids) for the third time in the EuroCup this time around after Logitech.fi dropped. After two victorys over the Belgian side, TeK-9 are hoping to strike it lucky for the third time as the first match of the EuroCup XV LAN Finals kicks off today in Holland as Call of Duty 2 winds down as a game. We would like to wish both teams good luck and have the best of luck through-out the finals.

After his victory at the WCG New Zealand 2007 earlier this year, qualifying for the Grand Finals in Seattle (the United States) and the World Cyber Games Pan Asia Tournament with a win over SaySo, last weekend TeK-9's very own Nightelf player Hamish "Kowi" Parker took part in the 2007 WCG Asian Championship 2007, hosted in the Suntec Convention Center in Singapore.
With a victory at the WCG New Zealand, Kowi earned himself the right to represent New Zealand in Singapore in the World Cyber Games Pan Asia Tournament, starting out in Group B, together with SETA.VIE and mOOn-GLaDe. After a clear (02:00) victory over SETA.VIE from Vietnam, Kowi lost his second and final group match in a close mirror game against the Australian Nightelf mOOn-GLaDe, final score (01:02). With the top 2 of each group progressing, Kowi qualified for the single elimination stages, and quickly made his way to finals of the WCG Asian Championship with (02:00) wins over Kumai from Thailand and Nicholas from Hong Kong, the latter who was able to place top 16 at last years World Cyber Games 2006.
In the finals of the WCG 2007 Asian Championship, Kowi met the Korean Nightelf player SoJu, winner of this year's ESWC 2007 Warcraft III competition. However, former World Elite player SoJu turned out to be too strong and was able to come out on top on both Turtle Rock and Terenas Stand.

Following their recent victory in the $20,000 WSVG Dallas tournament, this weekend the TeK-9 Call of Duty 2 were present to compete in the second edition of the Outpost on Fire in the Outpost Gaming Center in Antwerp, Belgium. With success; in one of the most exciting CoD2 finals of the year, the TeK-9 team was able to take the gold (€2000 & hardware) after an extremely close game versus the Dutch H2k.Qpad.
With H2k being able to overcome both Team SPEED-LINK and eSuba.SteelSeries, which was quite a surprise to some, TeK-9 and H2k faced off on mp_dawnville, in what turned out to be a thrilling final. As allies on mp_dawnville TeK-9 were unable to get into the game, losing six straight rounds. With a 7 to 1 score, the tables turned as TeK-9 managed to pick up four rounds in a row with slow pushes and ozwald picking up 13 frags. Although 5-7 as allies is not a bad score at all, H2k got back into the game and made effective use of several gaps in the TeK-9 defense and won the first map, (13:10).
Coming from the Lowerbracket the Dutch team needed two maps to win, and the game moved over to mp_toujane for the deciding map of the grand finals. Although knaller was able to pick up 16 frags with his scope in the first half of the game, H2k managed to pull it back to a one point game, 5-4, before TeK-9 was able to pick up three more rounds to finish the first half with a 8 to 4 score. Picking up two quick rounds in the first three rounds of the second half (making it 10 to 5) it looked like the game was nearly over. However, with a 12-8 score in favor of the TeK-9 team, H2k fought back hard, picking up three rounds to bring it back to a one point game and one round remaining. Being down 3v4 L-KiNG and knaller picked off qwertYYY and MITOX3 to make it a 3v2 situation with the bomb down. In a 2v1 situation, joepoe was able to kill both davy and L-KiNG but missed the defuse by half a second. Final score: (13:11).

After the recent criticism on the team, being described as "a team that could easily sweep through every competitor in WSVG Dallas, but probably won’t", not having won a major event besides the Milk LAN, whilst being called the "Chelsea" of European Call of Duty 2, the TeK-9 Call of Duty 2 team have been able to show their full potential at the WSVG Dallas 2007 this weekend, winning the first ever transatlantic showdown in Call of Duty 2 history.
In the most prestigious and important event to date, the North American and European CoD2 teams clashed for the first time in an epic encounter, full of surprises, upsets, tension and incredible individual play. Being seeded third right after the top 2 of the WSVG Online Qualifier (Eximius Sports and Team Pandemic), the team started out with a BYE in the first round of the Upperbracket and a clear (13:05) victory over the American side Team Isolated Gaming on mp_toujane.

After a third place at the 2006 ESWC The Netherlands (with the top two receiving a invite for the ESWC Grand Finals in Paris, France), yesterday our Dutch Quake 4 player Jeffrey "draven" Debipersad was able to place second place in the ESWC 2007 qualifier. Finishing first in Group B with a clear (02:00) victories over Rikku and Anar, Jeffrey qualified for the single elimination playoff stages without losing a single map, and would be facing the former Praetoriani player Weird in his first playoff game.
Although the first two maps maps in the game against Weird turned out to be extremely close, with draven winning Phrantic 12 to 10 and Weird coming out on top at Torment after a 2 minute overtime, 12:10, draven managed to defeat the Dutch player with some impressive play on Monsoon, winning the third and decisive map, 26 to 9.
With his victory over Weird draven directly qualified for the ESWC Grand Finals this summer in Paris, France, taking one of the two available slots for the prestigious French LAN event. draven eventually took second place in the Dutch ESWC qualifier, losing to forever on Galang and Phrantic in the Grand Final.
